Individual Therapy

We are inherently relational beings. We are conceived in relationship, birthed in relationship, harmed in relationship, and ultimately through authentic encounters with others, we can be transformed through relationship. My focus with clients is to help decode the mysteries of how their relational history (family-of-origin or otherwise) carries power in how relational patterns are expressed in their current relationships with partners/spouses, friends, family and colleagues. I might be the therapist for you if:

  1. You find yourself in painful, repetitive conflict in your relationships or marriage

  2. If you are dating unsuccessfully and keep engaging in the same patterns and want to approach it differently

  3. You find yourself in conflict with others more than you’d like and want to understand your role in it or how to manage it better

  4. You have a history of family enmeshment or, alternately, neglect or abuse, and want to heal from the effect of this history in your important relationships (including either re-enacting your history or feeling more reactive in relationships BECAUSE of your history)

  5. You find yourself constantly dysregulated or triggered in your important relationships and want to find more ease within them

  6. You are experiencing loneliness and are looking for ways to get more connected and forge more meaningful and nourishing relationships

  7. You have troublesome relationships with family members or friends and need help navigating the complexity of those relationships

  8. You experience chronic pain, illness or illness anxiety and are interested in unpacking the intersections of the body/mind connection - how the body expresses what the mind suppresses and learn strategies to cope with and heal from illness through the pathway of psychotherapy
