Allow me to answer some of your questions...
If you have any other questions, please feel free to call me at (512) 928-4889 or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Do you also offer general psychotherapy?
Yes. I've been trained as a generalist and enjoy the growth that can occur for my clients on a longer-term basis. A sexual issue may or may not be the first thing that brings you into my office. Perhaps you are struggling with anxiety or depression or perhaps you just want to address a conflict about money in your relationship. If you are trying to decide if I’m the right fit for your situation, just know that many of my clients struggle with multiple issues – no one problem exists in isolation. Rest assured that I will take into account your whole, complex self and if sex comes up, you’ll have a therapist who can sensitively and confidently guide you through an exploration of any concern related to that.
Can you collaborate with my physician?
Yes! I'm dedicated to collaborating with top-notch medical providers to offer the best, most thorough, wraparound care for my clients presenting with complex sexual issues. I have good relationships with both North Austin Urology and Sullivan Physical Therapy for sexual problems ranging from pelvic pain, vaginismus, incontinence, rapid (premature) ejaculation, erectile difficulties, fertility concerns, low testosterone, peri/menopause, Peyronie's disease, arousal and desire difficulties, cancer treatment and sexuality.
Do you offer consultations before I/we commit to therapy?
Absolutely. I would never ask you to commit to therapy without first determining if it's a good fit. I consider a consultation a time when we can interview each other an make sure that what I can offer you will be the most beneficial to you and your goals. A consultation is also a time where I can provide referrals to other clinicians if I feel they may be better suited for your particular issue.
What are you hours of operation? Do you see clients on evenings or weekends?
I've found that many busy Austin professionals are unable to step away from their work day and prefer to attend therapy in the evenings. I hold a few spots for evening appointments on Monday night, but they are currently full. Generally, I see clients from about 10am until 5pm during the rest of the work week. I do not work on the weekends - I'll be out and about enjoying the Austin sunshine. If you are needing evening or weekend hours, I’m happy to help facilitate helping you find a clinician who can accommodate.
What are your fees?
My fee for a 50 minute session is $175. My fee for an 75 minute session is $250. I prefer to work with couples in an 75 minute format, but will be happy to discuss this with you if your budget or time does not allow for that. I offer a reduced fee for folks who are unable to afford my full fee based off income or combined incomes, however, at this time, I have no reduced fee openings available. Please inquire if you are interested in being added to the waitlist or would like names of other referrals who I'd recommend for a reduced fee.
Do you accept insurance?
I do not accept insurance, but would be happy to provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.
